Toxic Masculinity Ran More Rampant Than Greed On The Set Of Oliver Stone's Wall Street
Image
In the early 1980s, Sean Young was primed for stardom. She'd turned in two strikingly different supporting performances in Ivan Reitman's "Stripes" and Ridley Scott's "Blade Runner," and possessed an ineffable magnetism that drew you in. In "Stripes," she's Louise Cooper, a Fort Arnold MP who's down for a bit of mischief with Harold Ramis' incorrigible Russell Ziskey. It's a thinly written role, but Young's so darn cute and charming that you'd rather spend time with her than the two leads. As Rachael in "Blade Runner," she looks the glam part of a femme fatale, smashingly so, but as a replicant, we feel for her rather than fear her.

After getting lost in the clutter of David Lynch's "Dune" in 1984, she rebounded with a smoldering performance in Roger Donaldson's deliciously nasty B-thriller "No Way Out." Her limousine sex scene with Kevin Costner was so hot it...

Young Back On Track After Rehab
Taken April 2023
Actress Sean Young has learned to control her "social hostility" problems following a spell in rehab.

The No Way Out star checked herself into a self-help facility to tackle alcohol issues earlier this year after she was escorted from the Directors Guild of America Awards show in Hollywood for heckling nominee Julian Schnabel.

Now, clean and sober, the actress admits she had become hostile to all things Hollywood and needed to take a break from Tinseltown.

Promoting the upcoming second season of reality TV show Gone Country, which will feature Young as a celebrity contestant, the actress says, "I'm feeling really good. My social anxiety had sort of turned into social hostility (and) I just don't want to deal with it anymore."

Young insists her rehab stint also made her realise it was time for her to concentrate on being a good mum.

She adds, "My interest (in fighting for big acting roles) has waned a lot because I just feel like I don't get the attention I deserve in terms of getting better parts, and I'm much more interested in raising my kids."

The actress has two sons, Rio and Quinn, from her 12-year marriage to actor Bob Lujan.

Sean Young Breaks Back With Help Of Therapists
Taken April 2023
Reclusive actress Sean Young has returned to Hollywood - and is hoping this stab at stardom will be successful with a little help from her therapists. 41-year-old Young's career nosedived in 1990 when a series of controversial relationships - not least with co-star James Woods, who alleged that she terrorised his then fiancee - forced the actress to flee Hollywood for the desert safety of Sedona, Arizona. Ten years later, having returned to Los Angeles, Young says her life, marriage to actor Bob Lujan, and her career are all back on track. She admits, "I've got three therapists now - a marriage counsellor, my own counsellor, and my sister and I have a counsellor. It's been great. We've got this guy who's in his fifties and we call him 'Daddy'. Sound kinky? I think counsellors are great and they don't speak to each other."...
