The streaming service Tubi is set to premiere all six episodes of the original comedy series “Big Mood” starring Nicola Coughlan and Lydia West on April 19 in both the U.S. and Canada. The show follows best friends Maggie (Coughlan) and Eddie (West), who have lived in each other’s pockets for 10 years, through thick, thin and multiple challenging eyebrow trends. But with the rest of their lives looming, careers hanging in the balance and Maggie’s bipolar disorder making an unwelcome return to form, Eddie begins to question whether the friendship is really in their best interests. The six-episode series is written and created by Camilla Whitehill, directed by Rebecca Asher and produced by Fremantle’s Dancing Ledge Productions.

U.K. broadcaster Channel 4 has released a first look image of its new comedy series, “Big Mood” (working title), produced by Fremantle‘s Dancing Ledge Productions. The six-part series explores the intricacies of female friendship when confronted with the complexities of serious mental illness.

Starring in the show are Nicola Coughlan and Lydia West. Joining the ensemble cast are Niamh Cusack, Eamon Farren, Luke Fetherston, Kate Fleetwood, Rob Gilbert, Rebecca Lowman, Sally Phillips, Ukweli Roach, and Amalia Vitale. First Look At Nicola Coughlan & Lydia West In ‘Big Mood’

UK network Channel 4 has released a first-look image of Derry Girls star Nicola Coughlan and It’s a Sin‘s Lydia West in upcoming comedy series Big Mood (working title). The series is set to explore the nuances of female friendship when threatened by serious mental illness. Coughlan and West, whose previous Channel 4 shows have been among the network’s biggest hits of recent years, play best friends at a pivotal point in their lives. Niamh Cusack (The Virtues), Eamon Farren (The Witcher), Luke Fetherston (Flowers in the Attic: The Origin), Kate Fleetwood (Wheel of Time), Rob Gilbert (Big Boys), Rebecca Lowman (Prime Suspect), Sally Phillips (Veep), Ukweli Roach (Wolf) and Amalia Vitale (Willow) are also attached to the ensemble cast. Joanna Page will guest star as herself. Written by Camilla Whitehill, Big Mood is from Dancing Ledge Productions.

Ryan Kampe’s Visit Films heads to the Croisette with a sales slate that encompasses SXSW selection 1985, Tribeca entries Maine and Slut In A Good Way, and documentary City Of Joel, among others.

Kampe and his team will continue talks on Behold My Heart starring Marisa Tomei, and Sundance and Berlinale selection Madeline’s Madeline.

1985 (pictured) stars Cory Michael Smith, Virginia Madsen (Sideways), Michael Chiklis, and Jamie Chung and follows a closeted young man returning to his Texas hometown for Christmas during the first wave of the AIDS crisis.

The story centers on a woman (Tomei) and her teenage son (Plummer) in the aftermath of tragedy who must forge into uncharted territory in order to move on with their lives. David Call, Emily Robinson, Nik Dodani and Sakina Jaffrey also star.

Joshua Leonard ("The Lie") is directing from a script he wrote with Rebecca Lowman. Tomei, Mary Pat Bentel, David Hansen, Johnny Mac, Marcus Cox and Karrie Cox will produce.
