Daughter of Vantile Whitfield and Averil Logan.

Half-sister of designer Lance Vantile Whitfield.

Close friend of Laura Dern. They've known each other since childhood, because Bellina's mother and Laura's mother, Diane Ladd, were friends. They've worked together in Insight (1960), Sailor & Lula (1990), Daddy and Them (2001), Inland Empire (2006), Enlightened (2011), Twin Peaks: The Return (2017), Big Little Lies (2017), Palm Royale (2024) and Lonely Planet (2024). Laura also is the godmother of Bellina's daughter.

Has a daughter, Lola, with husband Ben Bode.

Worked with David Lynch in Sailor & Lula (1990), Mystères à Twin Peaks (1990), On the Air (1992), Inland Empire (2006) and Twin Peaks: The Return (2017).
