B'nard Lewis (Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio) is an actor/writer/director, known for 'Father Figures' (Warner Bros. 2017), 'A Better Way to Die' (HBO 2000), 'Apartment 304' (LewisFilms/Hidden Soldier Inc. 2017), 'Getting to the Punchline' (Code 11 Comedy 2012), 'The First Shot' (LewisFilms & Ent. 2012) and 'Houseguest' (Disney/Caravan 1995). As a kid B'nard was discovered by Dustin Hoffman in Los Angeles, California and was cast on the spot in the film 'Straight Time', with his scene left on the cutting room floor. B'nard would go on to be selected by ABC Television for their Talent Development Program landing him the lead in the (aired) pilot 'Heat & Soul' (1988) and later a co-starring role in the (aired) NBC pilot 'Jackée' (1989). B'nard was named by TV Guide Magazine as "one to watch."

B'nard started acting in theater in Columbus, Ohio with Centre Stage Theater under Carol Khan-White and in Los Angeles at The Inner-City Cultural Center, while taking on lead and supporting roles in the plays 'First Breeze of Summer,' 'Golden Boy,' 'Purlie Victorious' and 'The Fantasticks.'

B'nard would add additional training at Cincinnati's Eden Park Conservatory under Dewey Hawthorne; voice and diction at West Valley College and Method and Sense Memory techniques at the Young Actor's Studio Workshop near The Ohio State University.

B'nard's early employment includes moonlighting as an early a.m. Disc Jockey (Z-103), stand-up comic (working with Sinbad and Eddie Griffin), print modeling and a factory worker working for a Defense Contractor building the B1 Bomber, Honda and General Motors. He currently develops I.P.'s for LewisFilms & Entertainment (2024) while expanding into producing, writing and directing.
