Graduated from Home Union College, in Kosciusko, Mississippi.

Met his father, José González Videla, at the age 15.

Nephew of Chilean President Gabriel González Videla, (1946-1952).

His stepfather, Amado Paredes Cárdenas, was co-founder of the buses company "Metalpar".

His performance at Festival de Viña del Mar (1963) was shorted by production. This scandal meant that he would not return to the festival until 2000. (1980)

Worked at Argentine movies: A los cirujanos se les va la mano (1980), Las mujeres son cosa de guapos (1981) and Abierto día y noche (1981).

Father of Nicolás Legrand and María José González.

Lost his baby boy Nicolás who died by sudden death at the 8 months.

Member of TV show Maravillozoo (1995) from 1995-2002.

Performer at Festival de Viña del Mar (1963) four times (1980, 2000, 2006 and 2010).

Was lead host for TV shows "De lo bueno... Coco" (1990) and "El día del Coco" (2008).

Owned a theater in Santiago called Circus OK where he presented some shows.

An avid motorcyclist, he owned well over 40 Harley-Davidson.

Has a wax statue at "Museo de Cera de Las Condes".

In 2020 he recognize a daughter.
