Actress Imani Hakim is a mom! The Mythic Quest star’s actor partner Chris Naoki Lee announced the news today, which happens to be his birthday, on Instagram. The little one is the couple’s first baby together.

The Dinner Party actor shared an image of him and Imani holding their newborn’s hand in the hospital. The couple welcomed a baby boy on February 2nd. “On 2/2/25, clocking in just shy of 7lb and 21inches, our beautiful boy is here to make his world premiere.” The actors chose to name their son Kazuo-Marley Hakim Lee and revealed the nickname they have for him. “Please welcome to the stage, Kazuo–Marley Hakim Lee. But you can call him.. Kaz Marley.”

The actress shared a black and white video that focused on a close-up of Imani and then panned out, revealing the mom-to-be wearing a two-piece set that exposed her growing baby bump. Chris sat beside her and the couple’s dog Kobe. The Gabby Douglas Story alum didn’t share any further details about her baby but wrote in the caption, “world premiere 2025.”

Exclusive: Vertical Entertainment has acquired North American rights to Chris Naoki Lee’s feature directorial debut, Dinner Party, in which he stars alongside Kara Wang (Top Gun: Maverick), Imani Hakim (Mythic Quest) and Kausar Mohammed (The Flash). The global indie distributor has slated the pic for a day-and-date release on August 19.

Inspired by Lee’s own experiences growing up in a diverse community outside of Los Angeles, the indie ensemble drama follows Izzy (Hakim) and boyfriend Cal (Lee) as they go to a casual reunion dinner party amongst Cal’s childhood friends 10 years after high school. The friends navigate socially sensitive topics, though some fall on deaf ears when it comes to the hyper-masculine Miles (Charles Hittinger). It doesn’t take long for Izzy to notice that Shannon (Wang), co-host and childhood friend to the boys, seems uncomfortable around Miles, as the film simmers into a slow burn that erupts in the final act.

Mythic Quest is set to level up at Apple TV+. The workplace comedy, created and starring Rob McElhenney, has been renewed by the streaming platform and is set to return for Seasons 3 and 4.

The comedy, also created by Charlie Day and Megan Ganz, centers on Ian Grimm (McElhenney), the owner and creative director of a successful video game studio, who struggles to keep his hit game on top in concert with the dysfunctional family that makes up his staff. Season 2 of the comedy, which wrapped up in June, saw Ian and Poppy (Charlotte Nicado) push the boundaries of their work relationship and friendship as the two creative minds and game developers of the wildly popular Mmorpg Raven’s Banquet search for the next best thing. Apple TV+ has released the global trailer for the sophomore season of ‘Mythic Quest,’ the critically hailed Apple Original workplace comedy series from creators Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Megan Ganz.

The new trailer is unveiled ahead of the premiere of “Everlight,” a special standalone episode from season one of “Mythic Quest” that will make its global debut this Friday, April 16 on Apple TV+.

The award-winning ensemble cast is set to return for season two and will be joined by new guest stars including multi-platinum artist Snoop Dogg, “Drunk History” creator, comedian, actor Derek Waters, and more.

The series follows the team behind the biggest multiplayer video game of all time. Season two finds everyone back in the office, attempting to build upon the success of Raven’s Banquet by launching an epic new expansion, but Ian (Rob McElhenney) and the newly promoted co-creative director, Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao), struggle with the game’s direction.

Apple TV+ comedy “Mythic Quest” is releasing another pandemic-themed standalone episode before its second season launches next month, the streaming service said Tuesday. But this one will take place in person, for the most part, versus over Zoom.

Apple TV+ will prepare Mythic Quest fans for the comedy’s sophomore season by dropping a bonus episode ahead of the season two premiere.

“Everlight,” a standalone episode from season one of the gaming workplace comedy will launch Friday, April 16 on the streaming platform. Following the special “Mythic Quest: Quarantine” episode, the half-hour episode is directed and executive produced by Rob McElhenney and written by Ashly Burch. The episode will see the Mythic Quest crew return to offices and co-workers following the coronavirus pandemic for their annual Everlight party. Anthony Hopkins lends his voice to the episode.
