Docu-thriller ‘The Fear Project: Part One - Trauma’ set for July start (exclusive)

Los Angeles-based film and theatre company An 11:11 Experience has set a July production start for The Fear Project: Part One – Trauma and revealed the docu-thriller’s ensemble cast.

Written and directed by 11:11 principal Michael Leoni, the film will star Christopher Valleroy, Anzu Lawson, Victoria Baldesarra, Billy Keogh, Marilyn Sanabria, Brinnen Thompson, Avi Levin and Sheena Metal.

Filming will take place in Los Angeles and Huntington Beach. Leoni and 11:11’s Erica Katzin are producing, with Mark Burley serving as executive producer.

Melissa Joan Hart will star in and executive produce a new Lifetime thriller, “Killing the Competition,” TheWrap can reveal exclusively.

The juicy thriller, which debuts Saturday, March 1, at 8 p.m. Et, stars Hart as Elizabeth Fenwick, a loving mother in her 40s who becomes enraged after her daughter is cut from her alma mater’s dance team. Hart also serves as an EP on the movie via her company Hartbreak Films.

Inspired by actual events, “Killing the Competition” follows Elizabeth, who was once her high school’s star dancer and prom queen, as she and her husband, Steve (Eddie Mills), help craft a similar path for their daughter, Grace (Lily Brooks O’Briant).

General Hospital Spoilers – The Pikeman Problem

One hot button storyline getting some movement is the Pikeman problem; this storyline was teased to come together to solve several different mysteries.

For one, who has been trying to take down Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) for another and the murder of Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth).

These two, plus the Metro Court Pool shooting sniper’s identity and the identity of the leader of Pikeman Security Group are supposed to all tie together.

Julia Ormond And Johnny Ferro Join Cast Of Mädchen Amick-Directed ‘Reminisce’

Exclusive: Julia Ormond and Johnny Ferro have been added to the cast of Reminisce, the romantic drama that is serving as the feature directing debut for Riverdale‘s Mädchen Amick. The pair join a cast already includes Bruce Dern, Elissa Shay and Anzu Lawson. Principal photography began this week in Los Angeles.

The plot for the pic, written by Shay and Cary Haze and based on actual events, is mostly under wraps, but it follows the journey of a young woman traversing her trauma, heartbreak and mental illness while pushing the boundaries of reality to overcome it all and find herself.

Iris Torres and Penny Edmiston are producers. Shay is an executive producer through her FutureRetro Productions with Milan Chakraborty.

Jay Huguley Boards Period Drama ‘The Walk’; Anzu Lawson Joins Mädchen Amick’s Debut Film ‘Reminice’

Exclusive: Jay Huguley has joined the cast of Daniel Adams’ The Walk.

He’ll appear in the period drama, opposite Justin Chatwin, Terrence Howard, Malcolm McDowell and Jeremy Piven.

The film is set in 1974 and follows Bill Coughlin (Justin Chatwin), a Boston Irish cop who confronts fierce social pressure, after being assigned to protect Black high school students as they are bused into all-white South Boston High.

Huguley will play Riley, an old-school Irish cop who works as Coughlin’s partner in The Boston Police, and is resistant to school integration.

Adams penned the script for The Walk with George Powell. Pic’s producers are Hank Blumenthal, Michael Mailer and Paul W. Hazen. Alex Nazarenko is also on board as exec producer, with Cinema Management Group handling international sales at Cannes.

Huguley will be seen this fall in Michael Showalters’ The Eyes of Tammy Faye.

On Sunday, March 5th, the NCIS: Los Angeles TV show on CBS will pay tribute to its late star, Miguel Ferrer, who died of throat cancer on January 19, 2017. The son of Rosemary Clooney and Jose Ferrer, Miguel was also a cousin of actor George Clooney. NCIS: Los Angeles also stars Chris O'Donnell, LL Cool J, Linda Hunt, Daniela Ruah, Eric Christian Olsen, Barrett Foa, and Renée Felice Smith.According to Variety, episode 8.16, "Old Tricks," will feature Ferrer singing a version of the Bob Dylan song “Knocking on Heaven’s Door.” Ferrer’s band, the Jenerators, accompanies him in the performance.
