Back in February, long before Girls star Adam Driver was officially cast in Star Wars: Episode VII, it was rumored that he is playing the bad guy, described in the same vein as iconic Star Wars villain Darth Vader. Since none of the cast members' characters have ever been officially confirmed, many just assumed that Adam Driver is playing a Sith or other equally evil rogue. But today we have new photos from the set that appear to prove that is not the case.

Facebook user Rick Lawrence posted a number of photos from England, one of which appears to be a long-distance, blurry shot of Adam Driver wearing an X-Wing pilot uniform. The photos also appear to include John Boyega and Gwendoline Christie, but they are too blurry to tell for sure. Take a look at the images below, then read on for more details.

From the moment Adam Driver stepped into the Star Wars: Episode VII rumor mill, there was talk about him playing a villain and we’ve been running with that idea ever since. Filming at the Greenham Common for Star Wars: Episode VII started up last week, and since then, a slew of images (and even videos) of the filming have been landing online.  It gave us our first real look at the rebulit Falcon, and even some fancy looking new X-wing craft.  Over the weekend, though, some more interesting images have landed that appear to show Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie and Adam Driver on the set in costume.  Come inside to see for yourself.  

Thank God for outdoor shooting locations.  Seriously.  Even though filming has been going on for Episode VII since May, we've seen and heard precious little about it.  Fans have been feeling the drought, but things have been a lot better since last week.  A slew of images from the set have landed showing us more stuff in just a few days than we've had in a few months.

Rick Lawrence has shared a ton of Star Wars Episode VII set photos through his Facebook page, and they offer up our first look at the Rebel Alliance and a strange looking vehicle of some sort (which we would guess is for transporting troops). It's hard to tell, but the first two images definitely feature actors who appear to be Adam Driver (Girls) and Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones), and if not, they certainly bear a striking resemblance! There have been a good amount of set photos from Star Wars: Episode VII leaking onto the Internet, and today we have more for you. J.J. Abrams is currently shooting at the Raf Greenham Common, which is a former Royal Air Force station in Berkshire, England. This is where all the photos have come from featuring a couple X-Wing's and the Millennium Falcon. Today we have two videos from the set along with some photos featuring some actors in costume. After a drought of information regarding Star Wars: Episode VII, this week has been downright bountiful!  Thanks to an outdoor filming location that happens to be on the flight path of a flight school, we've seen a deluge of images from the set.  Today brings even more, including video of a scene being shot with extras in costume and an extra close-up look of the new black X-wing we glimpsed yesterday.  Come inside to check out all the new stuff!

I don't think giddy can really begin to describe how happy seeing all of this makes me.  Despite having been filming since May, the last few days have given us our best look behind the scenes of Episode VII so far.  We've got oodles of spaceships on the ground, and even views of the extras in full costume.  Let's start things off, however, with some closer (and better) images of...

Raf Greenham Common, a former Royal Air Force station in Berkshire, England, has receive a lot of attention of late as filming of J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII there.
