John Latenser is a producer and seasoned location manager who has spent his career working on many award-winning motion pictures, television series and documentaries. A longtime collaborator of directors Alexander Payne and Jason Reitman, Latenser has served as location manager on five Payne films and five Reitman films. Over his career, he has also worked with directors such as Ryan Coogler, Kathryn Bigelow, Ed Zwick, Doug Liman, Terrence Malick, Errol Morris, Michael Bay, Robert De Niro, Todd Haynes, Nicolas Stoller, Miquel Arteta, Jon Turteltaub, Thomas Schlamme, Marcos Siega, Alex Graves, Chris Misiano and several others.
Latenser is a member of the Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) and manages location-based films nationwide. A true location manager to the core, he enjoys working with directors, who strive to film on location. Latenser has filmed in 33 U.S. states. He is a dual citizen with Ireland, enabling him to work in any E.U. country as well as the U.K.
A former television producer, Latenser resided in the Washington, DC area, before relocating to Atlanta in 2015. He is married to television producer and showrunner Alissa Collins and splits his time between Atlanta and the New York City area.
