Susan Lankester is an award-winning actress and producer from Malaysia. She began her illustrious career in 1983 with the ground breaking film Mekanik and has not looked back since.
Is a Malaysian actress first known for the film titled Mechanic where she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in the 4th Malaysian Film Festival. In the movie, Susan is best known through the iconic dialogue Orang putih ke, Orang hitam ke, Orang choclat ke, Orang biru ke, Kita semua Orang Malaysia kan? which is still being used in adverts & social commentary til today.
She was nominated again and won the award of Best Supporting Actress through her outstanding role as the editor in chief of a women's magazine in the film, Femina.
Her role as Sara, in the 2 + 1 situational comedy television series qualified her to compete in the Popular Female Comedy Artist category.
After the success of the sitcom and many drama telemovies, she decided to take a break from television and film as she often had cliché characters and was disappointed in the lack of creativity in scripts. She chose to focus on theatre and other business projects.
In 2010, she appeared in the role of Adeline Hunter Bertorgh in a theatrical drama, Natrah, held at Istana Budaya, selling out a 2 week performance .
She also appeared in a mocumentary-themed sitcom titled Keluarga Iskandar where she was nominated for Best Female Comedy Actor.
In 2014 she embarked as Producer & Actor on her 1st indie film production Take Me To Dinner, giving birth to BWC Pictures, her little film production company.
She decided to try the corporate life and joined (VIU) Vuclip Malaysia as Consultant Head of Production to start up their production arm for their Original online content. She has to date 7 show titles under her belt. She & the ensemble team of Keluarga Baha Don, a program that she helped produce for VIU, and acted in, won Best Comedy Program in the Grand Finals for the Asian Academy Creative Awards held in Singapore.
She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for the series Azam & Johan in Pesta Perdana, MediaCorp Suria.
