Laurence Lamers

Laurence Lamers Started his career as junior editor for different Dutch features and documentaries. After his Study Theatre and Films Sciences at the University of Amsterdam, - gaining his doctors (-andus) title - he worked as a production manager for different corporate and commercial films, producing drama for television. In the mid-nineties made his move as a director-producer for television programs, infotainment and talk-shows. In the meanwhile he studied the craft of scriptwriting and made a short feature called The Jewel of Death.

As a child he grew up in the artistic and scientific circles of Holland, meeting the better levels of society and the downside. At the age of three his parents separated and he was raised within a religious diversified family. He learned the many perspectives of life, like the Catholic, Protestant and Jewish teachings, Buddhism, Communism, Hinduism and esoteric ideas. It made him study philosophy at a young age. In the early seventies his mother took him on a trip through India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nepal, giving him a broader experience of the world. His urge for mental fulfilment and intellectual study went along with his desire to experience the real world and notice the many different levels of society.
