Ana Maria Lagasca was born in Ceiba, Puerto Rico and raised in Italy. She grew up speaking three languages: English, Spanish, and Italian. Her father was in the U.S. Navy. Her parents met in Andalusia, Spain. At eight months old they relocated to the island of Sicily & later resided in Naples, Italy, where she spent her adolescence before moving to the U.S. She was of Spanish & Filipino descent.

When she was 3 years old, she attended nursery school with the Italian nuns in Sicily and her love for performing began with learning Italian songs for the Christmas recital.

She attended Florida International University in Miami, Florida on a Theatre Scholarship & graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She lived in New York City for a short time and then moved to Los Angeles to pursue Acting.

She made her film debut starring in a PBS Masterpiece Theatre movie-of-the-week titled Almost a Woman. She had several guest & co-star credits on television. She worked on commercials, voice overs for film, video games, animation, and translating for foreign projects. She lent her voice to a few musical projects.

She studied Vocal Performance at the famous Musicians Institute in Hollywood & took Screenwriting courses at UCLA. She taught Yoga since 2001 and was a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher. In 2016 she completed the UCLA Training in Mindfulness Facilitation at the Mindful Awareness Research Center, accredited by the Semel Institute for Neuroscience & Human Behavior.
