Simon Kumai

The story begins, when I was 15 years old, I saw the movie Star Wars EP4 and decided that I wanted to be an actor someday and make appearance in the Star Wars saga, no matter what the role. As soon as I entered university, I joined a student theater troupe and also joined Nihon Ishin-ha, a leading underground theater troupe, and that's how I starred in the legendary independent film "Noisy Requiem". I have been involved in a wide variety of activities, straight and underground play, major and independent film, TV drama, V-cinema, radio personality and so on. In addition, when I was 25 years old, I was a 2nd year student of Actors Studio under Principal Katsumi Oyama, where I had repeated lessons under the top directors for half a year.

In the past, I have produced, directed and edited three independent films. The fourth and latest one is"Agent Ryden,"a short film written by a US writer, which I produced, directed, edited, and starred in in January 2025. The concept of the film is a SPY movie, crime action. yes, I love spy movies like "007"series and Italian movie "Sette uomini d'oro". of course, I love "Alien", "Blade Runner" , "Matrix" and Luc Besson's "Grand Blue".
