The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D will be released on January 4th, so we’ll have the first trailer from the movie very soon. Until then, take a look at a brand new teaser poster that was released.

Directed by John Luessenhop, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D stars Alexandra Daddario, Scott Eastwood, Bill Moseley, Tania Raymonde, Trey Songz, Keram Malicki-Sanchez, Shaun Sipos, Thom Barry, Paul Rae, and Richard Riehle. The new movie is not a remake and does not tie into the earlier films from Platinum Dunes. Instead, this film is being developed as a direct sequel to the storyline from the original 1974 movie.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D will be released almost one year from now, on October 5th, 2012. We probably won’t be hearing too much about the new movie until next year, but a teaser poster has made its way online and we’ve included it for you to check out.

Given the lack of polish on the logo and the mention of Saw 3D: The Final Chapter, we’re guessing this was meant as sales art, but figured that fans interested in the sequel would want to see it anyway.

Production on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D is well under way, and we've all been waiting for the goodies to start flowing off of the set. Dan Yeager, the man who plays the new Leatherface, recently shared some quick photos on his Facebook page, and we have them for you right here.

Francene Selkirk started as an actor and then worked in commercials in jobs from production assistant to producer before becoming a commercial casting director. Some breaking news to add a little startle to your Sunday afternoon. Iconic Texas Chainsaw alumnus Bill Moseley, who created one of the single most crazed villains in horror history in Chop-Top, is getting revved up to return to the franchise that put him on the horror map.

Funny how the industry works. We can go forever without hearing a peep about a project and then all of a sudden the floodgates crack open and the details begin trickling in. Case in point ... Leatherface 3D.

Given that Bd also reported that director John Luessenhop was in talks to be at the helm of this latest tango with a chainsaw a while ago, we'd say their insider is pretty much worth his or her salt.
