Jirí Krizan was born on 26 October 1941 in Valasské Mezirící, Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia [now Czech Republic]. He was a writer, known for Le piège (Il faut tuer Sekal) (1998), Pokoj v dusi (2009) and Stíny horkého léta (1978). He died on 13 October 2010 in Branky, Czech Republic.
