Tom Hanks' Commander Ernie Krause will be back in action soon. The Apple TV+ World War II naval thriller Greyhoundis getting a sequel. Deadline reports that Hanks will return to both star and pen the script, and a number of creatives from the first film are on board, as well. The film is set to begin shooting early next year.

In addition to Hanks, director Aaron Schneider (Get Low), who helmed the original film, is back for the sequel, as is producer Gary Goetzman from Hanks' production company Playtone. The rest of the cast is currently in negotiations, but Deadline reports most of the cast from the original will return. 852 Films, which is co-founded by singer-actress Josie Ho and producer Conroy Chan, has launched five new projects at Hong Kong’s Filmart.

Additionally, the production outfit unveiled Iman Taheri, who becomes their first signed artist. He stars in horror film The Mage, directed by Danny Pang. The film also stars Ho and German Cheung. “S— happens,” he told WSJ. Magazine of the film’s poor box office performance. “I was really the one who felt there was another story to tell. When [Indy] had suffered the consequences of the life that he had to live, I wanted one more chance to pick him up and shake the dust off his ass and stick him out there, bereft of some of his vigor, to see what happened.”

Pope Francis, Hillary Rodham Clinton and former Un chief Ban Ki-Moon will be honored at the upcoming Cinema for Peace gala in Berlin on February 19.

The long-running gala run by the Cinema for Peace Foundation will be accompanied by the inaugural World Forum on the Future Of Democracy, Tech and Humankind.

The latter event will run from February 18 to 19 at the Allianz Forum next to the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin with the aim of promoting the renewal of democracy and freedom at a time when both are under threat.

The Cinema for Peace Foundation was created in 2008 as an international non-profit organization with the goal to foster change through film. Over the years it has worked with a host of stars including Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and George Clooney.

Clinton and Ban will attend the February 19 gala in person while Pope Francis will be shown receiving his award in a recorded video.

Camila Mendes delivers a great performance in Upgraded, elevating the material. Upgraded is a cozy comfort watch for fans of traditional romantic comedies, with a strong supporting cast. While it hints at socially relevant topics, it never delivers on them, and the film can feel derivative at times and doesn't follow through on its potential.

The Continental TV series, a spin-off of the John Wick franchise, received mixed reviews upon its release on Peacock. Ian McShane, who plays Winston Scott in the John Wick films, criticized The Continental and called it a "cash grab." McShane and other John Wick actors are expected to appear in future spin-offs, including the film Ballerina and a new anime series.

The Continental made its debut on Peacock earlier this year in September, with a three-episode season set in 1970s New York City. The series followed the origin of the hotel-for-assassins featured throughout the John Wick franchise, starring a young Winston Scott, played by Colin Woodell. The same character is played by Ian McShane in the films, appearing in all four installments thus far.
