A graduate of the Hellenic Conservatory, she became one of the most distinguished figures in Greek theater. She began her professional career in 1951, frequently performing with the National Theatre of Greece, particularly in ancient tragedies at the Epidaurus Festival. In cinema, she appeared in around 40 films, working alongside iconic Greek stars such as Aliki Vougiouklaki, Jenny Karezi, and Rena Vlahopoulou. Her film credits include Istoria mias zois (1965), Filles à embrasser (1965), Dakrya gia tin Ilektra (1966), Kapetan fandis bastouni (1968), I neraida kai to palikari (1969), I aristokratissa kai o alitis (1970), Krima... to boi sou (1970), O katergaris (1971), and I efoplistina (1971). She also participated in radio productions, including the long-running Theater of Monday. On television, she was featured in numerous series, including Anastasia (1993), O prigipas (1996), Prodosia (1997), San adelfes (1999), Alma libre (2001), and S' agapo - M' agapas (2000). In 2004, she had a small role in Savvatogennimenes (2003), which led to her casting in the hit series Sto para 5 (2005) by Giorgos Kapoutzidis, where she co-starred with her close friend Efi Papatheodorou. The two also appeared together in the Greek-American film Opa! (2005). In 2007, she joined the cast of Witness for the Prosecution by Agatha Christie, performing alongside Katia Dandoulaki, Danis Katranidis, and Kostas Spiropoulos. In recognition of her contributions, a square in Galatsi, her birthplace, was named in her honor in 2016.
