UK Agency The Partnership Group Takes Majority Stakes In Sayle Screen & Sara Putt Associates

Exclusive: The Partnership Group, a group of UK agencies with clients including Emily Blunt and Idris Elba, has doubled down on its stakes in Sayle Screen and Sara Putt Associates.

The Partnership Group (Tpg), run by Roger Charteris and Robert Taylor, has held 10% stakes in Sayle Screen and Sara Putt Associates since 2021. It has now converted these stakes into majority positions, but declined to comment on the size of the holdings. Financial details were not disclosed.

Tpg’s combined client base will now include James Norton, Olivia Cooke, Ambika Mod, Naomie Harris, and Marisa Abela, Yorgos Lanthimos, Andrea Arnold, and Sir Ian Rankin.

First established as a literary agency in 1896, Sayle Screen will continue to be run by Jane Villiers, Matthew Bates, and Kelly Knatchbull. Sara Putt Associates was founded in 2002 and is overseen by Sara Putt, who also serves as the chair of BAFTA, and Laurily Adams.

‘Gangs of London’ Star Joe Cole Joins Odessa Young in ‘The Damned’ Cast, Protagonist to Launch Sales at Cannes (Exclusive)

Director Thordur Palsson has wrapped principal photography in Iceland on “The Damned,” starring Odessa Young.

Newly revealed cast for the psychological horror film includes Joe Cole (“Gangs of London”), Siobhan Finneran (“Happy Valley”), Rory McCann (“Game of Thrones”), Turlough Convery (“Killing Eve”), Lewis Gribben (“Somewhere Boy”), Francis Magee (“The Tourist”), Mícheál Óg Lane (“The Guard”) and Andrean Sigurgeirsson (“A Song Called Hate”).

The script was written by Jamie Hannigan and is based on a story by Palsson (“The Valhalla Murders”). “The Damned” tells the story of Eva, a 19th-century widow who faces a difficult decision when a ship sinks off the coast of her isolated fishing post in the middle of an especially cruel winter. ‘Mothering Sunday’ Star Odessa Young to Lead Psychological Horror ‘The Damned’ (Exclusive)

“Mothering Sunday’s” Odessa Young has been tapped for award-winning director Thordur Palsson’s upcoming psychological horror “The Damned.”

The film will see Young star as Eva, a 19th-century widow tasked with making an impossible choice when, during an especially cruel winter, a ship sinks off the coast of her impoverished Icelandic fishing village. Any attempt to rescue survivors risks further depleting the starving villagers’ supplies.

As the villagers struggle with their guilt, Eva begins to experience unsettling visions and suspects they are being punished for their choice. Shooting will begin on location in Iceland in January 2022.

Protagonist Pictures will represent sales worldwide, co-repping U.S. rights with CAA Media Finance.

Palsson (“The Valhalla Murders”) wrote the story while Jamie Hannigan wrote the screenplay (supported by Screen Ireland).
