  • At high school, as well as at the Technical University in Munich, one of his classmates was the renowned director Helmut Käutner.
  • German leading actor, the son of a civil engineer. On stage in Koblenz from 1929, he began in films in 1933. He was best known for starring in La ville dorée (1942) and Mariage dans l'ombre (1947). Klinger continued on successfully through the 1950's and 60's, giving prodigious performances in radio dramas and on television. His screen personae tended to be men of integrity, whether as romantic heroes, faithful husbands or kindly teachers.
  • Paul Klinger normally worked for television in the 60's, beside it his voice became well-known as a synchrone speaker of Bing Crosby, Jean Gabin, Stewart Granger and William Holden.
  • He played his first role at a theater in 1929. His breakthrough came with his engagement at the Deutsches Theater Berlin where he impersonated youthful heroes.
  • Paul has indeed managed to work with Romy Schneider and both her parents. He filmed "Die sieben Kleider der Katrin" with Wolf Albach-Retty and "Wenn der weiße Flieder wieder blüht" with Romy Schneider and her mother Magda Schneider.
