Hhe started his martial arts career in 1976 and has black belts in Tang Soo Do, Modern Arnis, Eskrima, Eskrido, Pangamot, Kilat, Arjukampo, Martial Arts Wrestling and Sikaran. He is a 5 times World Full Contact Eskrima Champion in 1989, 1992, 1993, 2006 and 2007. Inducted into the "Doce Pares" hall of fame in 2008.
