Sava Hashamov

Sava Hashamov Kirilov is a Bulgarian actor , born in Pleven, Bulgaria on March 4 1940. He graduated National Academy for Theatre and Film Art, Sofia, Bulgaria in the class of Professor Stefan Surchadzhiev and Metodi Andonov in 1963. He worked in Burgas Drama Theater in 1963-1964 and since 1964 at the National Theater "Ivan Vazov" . There he has performed over 100 roles in 43 seasons. He was a Secretary of the Union of Bulgarian Actors in 1977-1989. Hashamov was part of the generation of artists who have combined the traditional art of real life with the intellectual analysis. He was married to the Russian actress Margarita Terekhova. They have a daughter. He died on January 11, 2012 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
