Best remembered as Cliff Barnes in Dallas, he began drinking when young to
escape the pressure of growing up and by the time he went to university in
1952 he was an alcoholic. However he continued with his schooling and took
on acting jobs at the same time. Much of that part of his life is a blur. About a
