Stage: Played the role of Dugsie Gibbs in the original Broadway production of George Gershwin's "Funny Face" in 1927, a role which was completely eliminated from the 1957 film version (Drôle de frimousse (1957)). It was, however, retained in She Couldn't Say No (1940), a non-musical film version of the original show.
