Frederick Keeve has been writing most of his life, either for pleasure, academically or professionally for the entertainment business. His first short story, The Lost Island, was published in a limited edition when he was in sixth grade. He has also been making films since he was 10-years-old, growing up in Santa Monica, with his brother, Douglas Keeve, who is a writer/director living in New York. Keeve's first film was Maxine Waters EPC, starring Edward Alan Young. This was a documentary about an employment preparation center in in South Central Los Angeles seen by hundreds of thousands of viewers on KCET public television. Keeve also produced, wrote, directed and composed the score for the award-winning From Russia to Hollywood: The 100-Year Odyssey of Chekhov and Shdanoff, which featured many award-winning and nominated actors such as Gregory Peck (in his last screen role), Jack Palance, Patricia Neal, Anthony Quinn, Robert Stack, Leslie Caron, Beatrice Straight, Sharon Gless, Lloyd Bridges and many more, closing the Hollywood Film Festival and garnering rave reviews in Variety.

Keeve has optioned and developed screenplays from best-selling novels by noted writers such as Edgar winner T. Jefferson Parker and Pulitzer-nominated author Bill Granger. He has previously developed a slate of eight independent feature films with budgets ranging from $2.5M to $20M with Sonny Ritscher, Chief Controller for mega-budget films at both Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox (Watchmen, Green Lantern, Unfaithful). Keeve is a sought-after script doctor and enjoys writing screenplay coverage. He was hired to adapt a vampire novel, Vengeance Comes, for the screen.

Mr. Keeve has produced not only films, but also special events. He wrote and organized "An Evening with George Shdanoff," at the world-famous Argyle Hotel in West Hollywood, celebrating Mr. Shdanoff's 90th birthday with world class ballet dancers, a concert pianist, and over 100 celebrity guests flown in from around the world. Keeve hired two-time Emmy winner Sharon Gless, screen legend Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., and Oscar-winner Patricia Neal to co-host the prestigious event.

Keeve completed a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology in 2016. His published dissertation entitled A Phenomenological Study of the Experience of Humanist, Spiritual and Transpersonal Films on Positive Organizational Behaviors in the Workplace was lauded as masterful phenomenological, qualitative research.

Keeve is an accomplished musician, music director, accompanist, and composer. He wrote the book, music and lyrics for the original musical Three: Songs from the Heart, produced in Los Angeles under the auspices of the Festival of New American Musicals. The musical featured Broadway caliber talent: Ilene Graff (On Broadway: Promises, Promises, I Love My Wife, Grease), Marcus Choi (Hamilton), and was directed by Lance Roberts (On Broadway: The Pee-Wee Herman Show, Sister Act, Ghost, My Fair Lady). He has also recently organized and implemented two road shows for 100 actors in Salt Lake City with noted Hollywood Talent Agents and Casting Directors.

Keeve's 20-minute multiple award-winning short film, Designated Caretaker Redux, is to be shot as a full-length feature film next year. He has been writing screenplays for 25 years, some developed and produced into films. Mr. Keeve's other producing credits include: Small Town Conspiracy, and Purple Sail. Keeve's completed films also include the award-winning Cadillac City, as well as the recently completed feature film, The Accompanist, a fantasy/drama gay love story with magical realism, classical ballet and classical music as the backdrop. He has several feature films he has written or optioned as a producer in various stages of development, including Cadillac City, Designated Caretaker, Vine, Letters from Heaven and Journey to India, to name a few.

The filmmaker's theme of the film, The Accompanist, is "using the healing power of art to unite and celebrate who we truly are." Keeve is proud of his diverse cast and the portrayal of the gay male experience through fully realized complex characters, shining a light into gay relationships covering areas such as domestic violence, sex, career ambition, love and connection. He also delves into family relationships and presents to the audience beautiful classical music and realistically portrayed classical ballet. Keeve's recent features include The Godfather Buck with Kyle Lowder and Salome: A Love Story, the feature documentary Back to the Heart and the long short Jimmy Comes Marching Home. Mr. Keeve's next feature film is the stand-alone sequel to The Accompanist entitled, The Accompanist Awakening.

Mr. Keeve is passionate about storytelling, filmmaking, and the creative arts. He has a unique voice coupled with a highly-refined artistic aesthetic that fuels his lifelong goal is to elevate people's consciousness through his art-as filmmaker, producer, composer, director, writer and actor. In addition to being an educator, teacher, counselor and actor, Keeve enjoys combining his passion for film, psychology, spirituality and music with his obsession with riding motorcycles. Mr. Keeve is a long-time member of SAG/AFTRA and a proud member of the Producer's Guild of America (PGA) for almost 20 years.
