Since graduating from London's prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama, Andrew has enjoyed a high profile and varied career in the U.K, successfully combining acting, writing and directing.

As an actor, his theatre work includes stints at Manchester's Royal Exchange Theatre (Shakespeare's `Hamlet', Mamet's `Sexual Perversity in Chicago', Gogol's `The Government Inspector) and at The Warehouse (as Heathcliffe in Bronte's `Wuthering Heights'). On Television, he has guest-starred in the award winning series `Inspector Morse' and 'Widows', but is perhaps best known for playing the leading role of 'Nick Georgiadis' in the highly successful ITV series, 'London's Burning', the longest running filmed television drama in UK history and regularly nominated for the UK Television awards. As a result of eight seasons and 96 episodes in the series, he became one of the most recognized actors on UK television.

Alongside his regular acting work, he also developed a very successful writing and directing career, which encompassed numerous theatre productions, including a double bill of his own one-act plays (Break In and Whatever Gets You Through The Night) for The Royal Shakespeare Company, as well as a production of Kevin Cotter's play, 'The Nonsense', at Manchester's Royal Exchange Theatre.

His television writing credits include original single films for both the BBC ('One Last Chance') and Channel 4 ('Family'). His screenwriting credits include the feature film adaptation of Leon De Winter's best-selling novel 'SuperTex' produced for CanalPlus by Haig Balian and directed by award-winning German director Jan Schuette, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival.

Andrew combined his screenwriting and directing roles for the first time to make a short film, 'Gooseberries Don't Dance', (starring Sir Ian Holm and Penelope Wilton), which was selected to launch the British Short Film Festival and has since received numerous invitations to major International Film Festivals world wide. 'Gooseberries Don't Dance' was also honoured at the St. Louis International Film Festival and selected for screening in New York and Los Angeles in the First Film Foundation's New Directors' programme.

'Everything' - his second short film as writer/director, won a Silver Remi at WorldFest - Houston International Film Festival and has also received numerous invitations to other major festivals, including Palm Springs Short Film Festival, Los Angeles Short Film Festivals, St. Louis International Film Festival and has also been chosen by the British Council for the Crossroad of Ideas Film Programme.

During his multi-faceted career, he also spent time at the Riverside Studio in London developing new writing, worked with drama students at both The Central School and The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and was invited to be a member the Film Jury at the Valladolid International Film Festival in Spain.

Andrew is currently in pre-production for the full length feature "Trust Me" due to start filming in June 2005.
