Matsutarô Kawaguchi was born on 1 October 1899 in Tokyo, Japan. He was a writer and director, known for Les Contes de la lune vague après la pluie (1953), Mabuta no haha (1952) and Les amants crucifiés (1954). He was married to Aiko Mimasu. He died on 9 June 1985 in Japan.
