- Paul Karo was born on June 4, 1935 in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. He was an actor and producer, known for The Box (1974), The Box (1975) and Un cri dans la nuit (1988). He died on April 4, 2025.
- Educated at Auckland Grammar and Auckland University.
- Was a cadet reporter on the "New Zealand Herald" for two years.
- Spent two years as a student actor with the New Zealand Players Theatre Trust, moving to Sydney in 1957 where he toured for the Elizabethan Trust in "Time Remembered" alongside Margaret Rutherford.
- He moved to Australia in the late 1950's and began working in theatre and television.
