- Elma Karlowa was born on March 12, 1932 in Zagreb, Yugoslavia [now Croatia]. She was an actress, known for L'étudiant pauvre (1956), Tatort (1970) and Vacances à Saint-Tropez (1964). She died on December 31, 1994 in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.
- Elma Karlowa was in the second part of the sixties no longer in demand, fell into depression and tried to commit suicide with sleeping pills.
- She worked several time as a cleaning lady, a tie seamstress and even in a bar.
- Her final resting place is located in Sydney (Australia).
