  • Apostol Karamitev has a son Max Freeman (a.k.a. Momchil Karamitev), born in Sofia October 25, 1960 and a daughter Margarita Karamiteva (a.k.a. Margarita Apostolova), born in Sofia October 19, 1958. His wife, Margarita Duparinova, was also an actress known for Snaha (1954), Kare (2002) and Apostol Karamitev (2009). Margarita Duparinova passed away in 2005.
  • Father of Max Freeman (a.k.a. Momchil Karamitev).
  • Apostol Karamitev won the award "Best Lead Actor" at The Golden Rose Film Festival in Varna, Bulgaria (1969).
  • A monument, dedicated to him was erected in the Sea Garden of his native town in the summer of 1999. The monument stands near the entrance of the Open Air Theatre of Bourgas.
