Mumbai, Jan 2 (Ians) Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has shared his holiday album, which features his wife Mira Rajput, kids, mother Neliima Azeem, brother Ishaan Khatter, and his parents-in-law.

The actor has also extended his warm greetings for the year 2024.

Shahid and his family jetted off to Bhutan for the New Year vacation. The ‘Jab We Met’ actor took to his Instagram account, where he enjoys 44 million followers, and dropped glimpses of his wholesome vacation with his family.

New Delhi, Aug 12 (Ians) The cult classic ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’ which was released four decades ago, in 1983, stands as an enduring testament to the power of satire and humour, coupled with social commentary on corruption and media, in the Indian cinema.

Actor Shahid Kapoor has said that he was concerned about his father and veteran actor Pankaj Kapur judging his choice to become a hero. “My dad is Pankaj Kapur. The fact that I wanted to be a hero was because of my dad. I often wondered will he judge me for my choice of becoming an actor. One does get affected by what ones parents do,” the actor said.

Mumbai, March 21 (Ians) Actress Dia Mirza, who will soon be seen in the upcoming pandemic drama film, ‘Bheed’, experienced separation anxiety while shooting for the film. The actress, who is a frequent collaborator of the film’s director Anubhav Sinha, shared that it was quite difficult to cope with the anxiety.

‘Bheed’ was the first project that Dia had signed after motherhood. Being away from her son Avyaan for an extended shoot, was one of the most emotionally challenging experiences for her.

Mumbai, March 10 (Ians) The trailer of the upcoming film ‘Bheed’, which stars an ensemble cast, was unveiled on Friday.

The film, directed by Anubhav Sinha of ‘Article 15’ fame, is completely in monochrome and tells the story from India’s recent history of the first nationwide lockdown after Covid-19 was recognised as a health emergency in 2020 and how the migrant workers were ill treated by the authorities as they walked miles for days together at a stretch to reach their homes.

The trailer, which is under 3 minutes in length, starts off with a voice-over of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s famous address to the nation wherein he called for a complete nationwide lockdown, which became the harshest lockdown in the entire world. The corresponding imagery shows migrant workers struggling and getting their hands on whatever available resources they could arrange as they brave police brutality and humiliating treatment by the authorities in their own homeland.

Depicting the hard-hitting reality of social disparity at the times when borders were drawn within the country, Bheed, the Anubhav Sinha directed film starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekaer, is a story of the time when migrant workers were stranded without necessities, trying to find their way home in the middle of a nationwide lockdown.
