During the Japanese dub of 'Aladdin', Kamiya did not realize that Koichi Yamadera actually replicated a woman's voice when doing the Genie as a flight attendant.

At a panel discussion, he recalled the time he had to dub the role of a pedophile. He said he never felt more sick than he did then, and that he felt that there was something crawling down the back of his spine.

He was mentored by Yasuo Yamada.
