Leslie A. Jones aka Mister Jones hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After serving in the U.S. Army, he relocated to Los Angeles CA. There he would study theater and film at The Wilshire Theater Arts Academy. He landed his first theater job in 1991 with the Mojo Ensemble portraying Moses Blues in Judi Ann Mason's award-winning play "Indigo Blues". Playing alto saxophone in this production gained him recognition as an accomplished saxophonist, composer and actor. He was presented with a Los Angeles Weekly Award and the Drama Logue Award for Best Original Music. In 1993, he went on to win the N.A.A.C.P. Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Randall, in Matthew Witten's original play "Washington Square Moves". Soon after winning the NAACP Award, Leslie was cast on several television sitcoms, and episodic television shows, he's best known for playing the henchman Ronnie on Beverly Hills 90210. Leslie plays sax, flute, percussion & sings for various LA. bands. He also performs with George Gray of (The Price is Right), cover band (The Gee's) & his own original bands, Thee Answer band and, The Right-Hand Rule Band. Leslie has had a residency at Disney Land's California Adventure since February 2022, performing with The Midnight Hour band. Leslie's music can be heard on iTunes, Spotify and his very own app, LJ Presents where he hosts a 24-hour radio show. Jones has short and feature films receiving accolades in film festivals across the country, Get Nipsey, Fighting Olympus and Cafe' in the Void are the leading. Also Jones is acting in and producing a western series titled Dark Country. Leslie A. Jones is constantly moving forward and developing himself to better serve the industry.
