    • Ken Jones was born on February 20, 1930 in Liverpool, England, UK. He was an actor and director, known for Porridge (1979), Mercredi après-midi (1971) and BBC Play of the Month (1965). He was married to Sheila Fay. He died on February 13, 2014 in Prescot, Merseyside, England, UK.

  • Best known for his role as "Horrible" Ives alongside with 'Ronnie Barker' in the British sitcom 'Porridge'.

  • He was evacuated in 1942 at the height of WWII, along with two of his four brothers and sisters.
  • RADA-trained Liverpudlian character actor, who specialised in portraying seedy or shifty working class types. Seen to best effect as Rex in "The Squirrels", boxing trainer Dave Locket in "Seconds Out" and as 'Orrible Ives' in "Porridge".
