Celyn Jones

Celyn Jones is a critically acclaimed and award-winning actor, screenwriter and director. He was born and raised on the island of Anglesey, North Wales. His father was a sailor and mother a baker. Celyn trained as an actor at the Manchester Youth Theatre and won a scholarship to the prestigious Oxford School of Drama, where he received strong classical training. His talent and experience has secured him the reputation as one of the most impressive and versatile character actors of his generation. His screenwriting continues to attract international A-list talent and his recent move into directing has positioned him among "the UK's most talented and upcoming feature directors". Celyn lives in the UK with his family, is the founder of Mad as Birds Films, and a proud Welsh ambassador for the children's charity Into Film.
