The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Review – Unreal Engine 5 Brings Cyrodiil to Life
Image
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered arrives in April 2025 as a comprehensive overhaul of Bethesda’s celebrated 2006 RPG. Available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Steam Deck, this edition pairs the original design with a full rebuild in Unreal Engine 5.

Bethesda Game Studios handed off core code and lore to Virtuos, who tackled every texture, model and animation for a high-definition canvas. From the gated corridors beneath the prison to the windswept hills outside Chorrol, players reclaim the Amulet of Kings, race daedra into their own realm and uncover hidden strongholds.

The remaster embraces the uneven edges of the past—awkward facial rigs, impromptu laughter and that signature guard chant—while applying modern rendering, dynamic lighting and hyper-detailed foliage. Combat animations feel more fluid, though the underlying mechanics remain rooted in clashing steel and twitch-based blocking.

Sprinting offers fresh speed control, yet the classic skill-based progression still rewards devotion to chosen abilities.

Henry Cavill Didn’t Give Us the Best Superman-Lex Luthor Fight Sequence but It Was Tyler Hoechlin
Image
Henry Cavill is widely considered one of the best Supermans to date by DC fans. From his looks to his physicality, the British star embodied the superhero with a grounded and more complex approach, adding depth to the character.

While Cavill might have been the perfect Superman on the big screen, Tyler Hoechlin played one of the best versions of the DC character on the small screen. In the drama Superman & Lois, Hoechlin not only gave a strong and compelling take on the character but also gave us a chilling Superman-Lex Luthor fight that Cavill failed to do.

When it comes to comic book rivalries, at least in the world of DC Comics, nothing gets as iconic as the rivalry between Superman and Lex Luthor. The perfect brain vs brawn battle,...

Starfield’s Best Secrets and Easter Eggs
Image
Starfield is a huge game. Surprising, but it is. Starfield is probably Bethesda’s largest game to date, and as is Bethesda (and open world) tradition, that experience is littered with secrets, references, and good old-fashioned Easter eggs.

Quite frankly, it’s difficult to not find a secret or Easter egg while exploring the outer recesses of Starfield. Perhaps you encountered someone trying to sell you an extended warranty on your ship, or maybe you noticed that all of the planets in the starting system of Alpha Centauri are named after famous astronauts.

These are only a few of the references you can find throughout the game, and quite frankly, not all of Starfield’s secrets and Easter eggs are created equal. Some are more impressive, either because they provide tangible rewards or because they show off mechanics you didn’t even know the game had. Others are just so...
