She is an actress, known for Un shérif à New-York (1968), Bob Hope Presents the Chrysler Theatre (1963) and Love, American Style (1969). She has been married to Bones Howe since March 27, 1965. They have three children.

  • Attended the UCLA Extension. Studied creative writing.
  • Latterly the author of mystery and detective novels. Her first novel, The Mother Shadow (1989), featured Claire Conrad and Maggie Hill, whom the author describes as "the female answer to Nero Wolfe and Archie Goodwin." It was nominated for an Edgar Award, and was followed by a sequel, Beauty Dies (1994).
  • At 21, was signed to a seven-year contract by Universal.
  • Made TV commercials for cars, shampoo, deodorant, Kool Aid and beer.
