Amazon Studios has released a new full-length trailer for their upcoming adaptation The Lost City of Z, which boasts a stellar cast including Charlie Hunnam, Robert Pattinson, Sienna Miller and even the new Spider-Man himself, Tom Holland. This project has been in the works for several years now, with Brad Pitt once in talks to star and Benedict Cumberbatch also circling the project before they both dropped out. Brad Pitt does remain on board as an executive producer, through his Plan B Films company.
Based on author David Grann's nonfiction bestseller, The Lost City of Z tells the incredible true story of British explorer Percy Fawcett (Charlie Hunnam), who journeys into the Amazon at the dawn of the 20th century and discovers evidence of a previously unknown, advanced civilization that may have once inhabited the region. Despite being ridiculed by the scientific establishment who regard indigenous populations as "savages,...

Tom Holland, the young actor who was recently cast as the new Spider-Man, has signed on to join Charlie Hunnam, Robert Pattinson and Sienna Miller in James Gray’s “Lost City of Z,” which just started filming in Belfast. “Lost City of Z” follows Percy Fawcett (Hunnam), a conscripted soldier and born explorer who disappeared in the 1920s while searching for a mythical city in the Amazon jungles of Brazil that he believed he discovered on a prior expedition. It’s been well over a year since any significant movement was made on James Gray’s The Lost City Of Z. In late 2013, Twilight‘s Robert Pattinson joined the cast, which, at that time, only included Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead. Then, in December, Sienna Miller was reportedly grafted onto the project in a minor role, with outlets announcing that production would commence in summer 2015.
Was that imminent lensing date a motivating factor for acquiring a new leading man? Either way, Deadline reports that Cumberbatch is off the project and Sons Of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam is taking his place. It’s likely that the former has had to reshuffle his pending projects due to his Marvel commitments on Doctor Strange.
Whatever the reason, the unknown cause of the film’s delay now means that Hunnam will play Percival Fawcett, described as a “British colonial who disappeared in the...

Charlie Hunnam ("Pacific Rim," "Sons of Anarchy") will star opposite Robert Pattinson and Sienna Miller in James Gray's film adaptation of David Grann's Amazonian mystery novel "The Lost City of Z" at Plan B and Mica Entertainment.
Hunnam is replacing Benedict Cumberbatch, who was previously set to star but had to leave the project due to his commitments to other projects - namely Marvel's "Doctor Strange"
Hunan will play Colonel Percival Harrison Fawcett, a former decorated British soldier turned early 20th century explorer. Fawcett and his son disappeared in 1925 during an expedition to find the ancient and lost 'City of Z' in the uncharted jungles of the Amazon.
Over the next seventy years, scores of explorers tried and failed to retrace Fawcett's path, including a 1996 expedition of Brazilian adventurers. Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Dale Johnson and Anthony Katagas are producing.

...and it’s certainly not the glamour gal of magazine fashion spreads and red carpet events…
In Oculus the buxom blonde is reduced to a frothing, clawing, lunatic mom who’s out to kill her daughter, Kaylie (Annalise Basso), and son, Tim (Ryan); and she will stop at nothing.
When it comes to life vs. death, Tim must take matters into his own hands. But just because crazy-mom is dead, it doesn’t mean she’s gone!
Read on to see what Garrett has to say about that and more.
Dread Central: We'd love to know all about Oculus -- who do you play, and what's the story?
Garret Ryan: I play the role of young Tim Russell.
