  • Became a sex symbol and movie star in France in the late 1960s and enjoyed a great popularity in the following decades. Achieved international recognition in the early 1970s.
  • Retired from acting in the late 1990s and became a very prolific narrator of audio books. She is also the writer of a series of children's books promoting the appreciation of classical music.
  • Wife of Walter Green, mother of Eva Green, sister of Charles Jobert, sister-in-law of Georges Lunghini, Véronique Mucret Rouveyrollis, Marika Green and Christian Berger, aunt of Elsa Lunghini and Joséphine Jobert.
  • Originally offered the role that Isabelle Huppert played in François Ozon's 8 femmes (2002).
  • Best known outside of France for her role in the Charles Bronson thriller, Le passager de la pluie (1970) (aka "Rider on the Rain").
  • She was awarded a César d'Honneur (Honorary César) for her outstanding career achievement at the César Award's ceremony in 2007. The applause given by the audience was warm, but there was no standing ovation.
  • Gave birth to twins (her first and second child) at age 39, daughters Eva Green (aka Eva Gaëlle Green) and Joy Green, who is a horse breeder in Italy, on July 5, 1980. Children's father is her husband, Walter Green.
  • Is of Sephardi Jewish heritage.
  • Her manager is Dominique Besnehard.
