Paris Jefferson has won awards and accolades for leading roles in theatre, film, and television ranging from Marla in Y: The Last Man ("magnetic" Vulture New York, "phenomenal" TV Podcast Industries), Anna Karenina ("mesmeric" The Guardian), Janis Joplin ("compelling" Time Out), Athena in Xena Warrior Princess, Frankie in Frankie and Johnnie in the Claire de Lune ("outstanding" Northern Echo), and Constance in The Constant Wife ("a comic masterclass in timing" The Times).
In 2018 she won Best Actress in a Leading Role at the British Independent Film Festival (BIFF) for her role in Sunset Contract.
From 2006-2012 Paris performed leading roles on stage including at The Gate Theatre-Dublin, and the Spoleto Festival-USA.
She went on to work around the world in film and theatre including London, Dublin, Los Angeles, Paris, Auckland, Brisbane, St Louis, Croatia, Charleston, Tunisia, Scotland, Wales, Vienna, and Toronto.
Paris is also an award-winning photographer. Her images have been exhibited in The Irish Embassy (UK), Ankara (Turkey) and Gloucester (UK). They have been published in the Irish Times. Portraits include Liam Neeson, Riz Ahmed, Sinead Cusack, and Ciaran Hinds.
She is a trained dancer.
