Clive Jenkins(1926-1999)
Trade Union leader with a sense of humour, made TV appearances and
other special appearances (e.g. Secret Policemans Ball). He retired to
run a B&B in Tasmania, but returned to UK in 1990. Had a distinctive
high-pitched Welsh accent, was highly regarded by left-wingers like
Tony Benn, yet promoted Neil Kinnock as leader of the Labour Party when
Michael Foot resigned.
