- Harry Jans was born on June 6, 1898 in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. He was an actor, known for L'habit ne fait pas le moine (1936), Gardez-les sous les verrous (1936) and Racing Lady (1937). He died on February 4, 1962 in Hollywood, California, USA.
- In February, 1935, teamed up with comedian Bert Wheeler for a vaudeville engagement in Chicago. Jans found that Wheeler was making four figures a week (Jans' fee was three digits), and found that Wheeler's name was on the marquee in enormous letters above Jans' tiny name. The engagement was never repeated.
