“Freakier Friday” is chalk full of Easter eggs for devoted fans — it’s actually, essentially, a Russian nesting doll of winks and nudges, particularly when it comes to cameo returns from some of Hollywood’s favorite character actors. Stephen Tobolowsky is back manning detention. Both Rosalind Chao and Lucille Soong appear, too, reprising their roles from “Freaky Friday” as Chinese restaurant owners. There’s a pair of “SNL” favorites, Vanessa Bayer and Chloe Fineman, in supporting parts. The hilarious Sherry Cola is an announcer at the pickleball game.
But the real cameo highlight is undoubtedly Elaine Hendrix as Blake Kale. In the movie, she’s an editor at Rolling Stone. Fans, however, know that she’s also Meredith Blake, the supposed antagonist (there’s some debate) in 1998’s “The Parent Trap,” starring — ding, ding, ding — Lindsay Lohan as identical twins Annie and Hallie in her film debut.

Lindsay Lohan is returning to the big screen after a long break with the upcoming Freaky Friday sequel, Freakier Friday. But before fans catch up with Anna and Tess 22 years later, Lohan had already mastered the art of swapping lives in several iconic movies, including Freaky Friday, The Parent Trap, and Just My Luck.
In The Parent Trap (1998), she pulled double duty as Annie and Hallie, twin sisters who switch places to reunite their divorced parents. In Freaky Friday (2003), she portrayed Anna, a rebellious teen who wakes up in her mother’s body. And in Just My Luck (2006), she starred as Ashley. Her perfect life unravels after she unknowingly swaps good fortune with a total stranger.
All three movies showcased Lohan’s knack for playing dual identities. She is bringing back the traits in the 2003 Disney classic sequel, along with Jamie Lee Curtis. Freakier Friday movie is ready to hit...

Dennis Quaid may be somewhat against the possibility of this memorable classic getting a reboot, but another star is definitely down to bring the rom-com back to life. Directed by Nancy Meyers in her feature directorial debut, The Parent Trap, starring Quaid, was released in July 1998 as a remake and a legacy sequel to the 1961 film of the same name. The iconic actor was joined by a brilliant ensemble, including Lisa Ann Walter, who was most recently seen in the award-winning Abbott Elementary and has now voiced her interest in a Parent Trap reboot – but under one condition.
Speaking with People Magazine at an Abbott Elementary event in L.A., Walter named those she would want involved in the potential sequel to The Parent Trap, starting with Meyers, who directed and wrote the 1998 film. “One hundred percent, if Nancy Meyers wrote it,” she declared. The TV producer who portrayed Chessy,...

Apparently, Lindsay Lohans acting was so good that Michael Eisner was fooled into thinking she had a twin sister on the set of 1998s The Parent Trap. Lohan portrayed twins Hallie Parker and Annie James in the romantic comedy. And at the films premiere almost 30 years ago, the then CEO of Disney actually asked Lohan where her sister was when they bumped into one another. Lohan recalled surprisingly responding to Eisner when she was only 12 years old while appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Lohan said:
"I was so young, I dont even know how I thought to say this, but Ill never forget what I said. I said, Well you shouldve paid me double, because I dont have one."
The Parent Trap was Lohans first feature film, which came on the heels of the child actress performing in a number of commercials and appearing on the...

Lindsay Lohan's breakout role in The Parent Trap launched her into stardom, leading to a successful acting career and even a brief music career. Natasha Richardson, who played Elizabeth James, tragically passed away in 2009. Elaine Hendrix, who portrayed the villainous Meredith Blake, has continued to act in numerous films and TV shows, including her recent role as Alexis Carrington in the Dynasty remake.
After more than 25 years, The Parent Trap still holds up today, especially due to its phenomenal cast. A remake of the 1961 film of the same name, The Parent Trap (1998), directed by Nancy Meyers, tells the story of Hallie Parker and Annie James, two identical twins who were separated at birth by their divorced parents, Nick Parker and Elizabeth James. The twins have lived across the pond from one another their whole lives — Hallie in Napa with their father and Annie in London with their mother — and thus,...

When it comes to James Bond, it was a no-go for Liam Neeson. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the action star cleared up rumors that he was slated to take on the role of 007 in the early ’90s, and shared why his late wife, Natasha Richardson, changed his mind about playing Agent 007.
“I was not offered James Bond. I know the Broccolis. They looked at a bunch of actors. Schindler’s List had come out and Barbara [Broccoli] had called me a couple of times to ask if I was interested, and I said, ‘Yes, I would be interested,'” Neeson recalls of being approached for 1995’s Goldeneye. “And then my lovely wife [Natasha Richardson], God rest her soul, said to me while we were shooting Nell down in the Carolinas, ‘Liam, I want to tell you something: If you play James Bond, we’re not getting married.'”
He continues, “So...

During Robo Girl's The Masked Singer Muppet Night clue package, she hinted at a connection to Lindsay Lohan, which perfectly fits Kat Graham. When Robo Girl took her metallic mask off, fans weren't surprised to see The Vampire Diaries actress standing on the stage next to host Nick Cannon. Unlike the panelists, who didn't guess Kat, fans figured out her identity after her first appearance during Andrew Lloyd Webber night. The singer-actress gave many clues to her role in The CW mythical series and to her role as a background dancer for artists like Missy Elliot and Pharell Williams.
During The Masked Singer Muppets Night, Robo Girl included a photo of Lindsay Lohan in her clue package that had everyone theorizing about how Kat and Lindsay know each other. Kat has appeared in many films, including Honey 2, which she referenced in her clue package by including two jars of honey.

Lindsay Lohan is remembering Natasha Richardson. The 34-year-old actress took to Instagram on what would have been the late star's 58th birthday to share a special message. On May 11, Lindsay posted a throwback photo of the duo in the 1998 movie The Parent Trap and wrote, "Happy Birthday Angel #NatashaRichardson." In the movie, Natasha played Elizabeth James, a wedding dress designer who fell back in love with her ex-husband Nick Parker (Dennis Quaid) after their twins (both played by Lindsay) met at a summer camp and switched places on them. Lindsay honored Natasha in a 2020 cast reunion hosted by Katie Couric. "Natasha had such an elegance and...
