    • Lou Jacobi was born on December 28, 1913 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He was an actor, known for L'amour en équation (1994), Irma la Douce (1963) and Tout ce que vous avez toujours voulu savoir sur le sexe... sans jamais oser le demander (1972). He was married to Ruth Ludwin. He died on October 23, 2009 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA.

  • He was also a stand-up comic.
  • He played the violin.
  • Made the spoof record albums "Al Tijuana and his Jewish Brass," essaying the role of a master of ceremonies/bandleader of dance band who plays songs such as "Downtown," and "The Yiddish Are Coming! The Yiddish Are Coming!" He also was part of a group that made the comic records "You Don't Have to Be Jewish" and "When You're in Love, the Whole World Is Jewish".
  • Played "Mr. Hans Van Daan" in both the original 1955 Broadway production of "The Diary of Anne Frank" and in George Stevens' 1959 film Le journal d'Anne Frank (1959).
