Stephen Jackson(I)

Stephen's first memories of great films was Le docteur Jivago (1965) as seen at a drive in from the back of the family station wagon! Stephen started his lighting career just after school touring with bands and dance companies. After a stint at some lighting rental houses in 1981 he was hired as a best boy on the Canadian feature The Grey Fox (1982) then the classic Rambo (1982) and he never looked back. After that, Stephen became a gaffer in 1987. He then worked with many talented and award winning DP's from all over the world, learning the craft as he went. Some of his influences were Bruce Surtees , David Watkin and Guillermo Navarro In the year 2000, after more than 60 credits of TV and feature films he transitioned into cinematography, shooting second units and then to the main director of photography unit on television series and features for the past 20 years.
