- During the exhibition Facets of Young Flemish Painting in 1971, organized by the Ministry of Dutch Culture, Mayor Van den Daele of Ghent had work by Jacbos removed from St. Peter's Abbey in advance because it was 'offensive to morals'. This led to a riot in the press.
