Donald Jack was a Canadian humourist and author. He was born and grew up in Britain, served in the RAF in World War II then emigrated to Canada and became a writer. He is best know for his award-winning series of comic novels "The Bandy Papers" about the adventurous life and loves of a blundering First World War ace. Jack also wrote numerous scripts for stage, radio, and television, including one that was the first Canadian TV play broadcast simultaneously in the USA.
