Scottish actor Cameron Jack was born and bred into a working class shipbuilding family in Partick, Glasgow in 1972. In 1992 he received the Margaret Rutherford scholarship to study acting at Mountview theatre school in North London.
Graduating in 1995, he set out on an eclectic career, appearing in everything from multiple West End musicals, low budget British film and Hollywood blockbusters. He first came to prominence on screen with television appearances in the mid to late 1990's, appearing in mainstream TV fare like 'Taggart', 'The Bill', 'The Vanishing Man' and 'Lucy Sullivan is getting married'.
In 2011, he was cast in his first feature film role in the final part of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, 'The Dark Knight Rises', playing one of Bane's henchmen. In 2013 he worked on BBC drama 'Waterloo Road' and three brand new TV Sitcoms including 'Man Down'.
2014 saw him appear as Lewis Milton in 'Silent Witness' for the BBC.
In 2015 he shot the The UK thriller 'Level Up' and the acclaimed Sci FI thriller 'What Happened To Monday' with Noomi Rapace, Glenn Close and Willem Dafoe. In 2016 he appeared in the feature films 'iBoy', 'Death Race: Beyond Anarchy', 'Perfect Skin' and 'Calibre' in which he appeared as Frank McClay. The film was a huge international hit and won the prestigious Michael Powell Award for Best British Film in 2018 at The Edinburgh International Film Festival.
2017 saw him take roles in brand new BBC drama 'Trust Me', International hit 'Outlander' , and two BAFTA award winning dramas, 'Call The Midwife and 'Patrick Melrose'.
He joined the cast of long running ITV drama 'Emmerdale' in March 2018 playing Connor in 10 episodes before filming on period drama 'Victoria', also for ITV. He appeared as Davy in the award winning Glasgow set short film 'Boys night'. The film was nominated for best short film at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2019 and won best screenplay at the Elba Film Festival in Italy.
In 2018 he worked on 'Dragonheart: Vengeance' which was shot in Bucharest, Romania and in 2019 appeared in 'The Last Vermeer' with Claes Bang and Guy Pearce which was shot in the UK and Holland.
2020 saw him working in LA and London as Brendan in the hit movie 'Wrath Of Man' directed by Guy Ritchie and as DS Paul Copley in the popular ITV police drama 'Unforgotten'.
2021 and 2022 saw appearances in 'Casualty', 'Grantchester', 'Shetland' and the movie 'Never Back Down:Revolt'.
In 2023 he shot 'Masters Of The Air' and brand new TV shows 'The Chemistry Of Death' and 'Rain Dogs' and the feature film 'Little Bone Lodge'.
In 2023 Jack landed the iconic role of Sammael The Forsaken in Season 3 of Amazon Prime's hit show 'The Wheel Of Time' and landed the Series regular role of Gordon Spence in the BAFTA nominated BBC Drama 'Jamie Johnson FC'.
In 2025 he appeared as Gangster Des Stuart in BBC Drama 'River City' and is shooting his third series of Jamie Johnson FC.
