G. Philip Jackson
Born in Canada, (George) Philip Jackson took an early interest in film. At 17, his first short film in 16mm was shot with high school friends Phil Hallet and Dave Lorriman on a $200 budget and a borrowed camera. The 7 minute short comedy about a golf game gone wrong was acquired by CBC).

Philip earned an honors BA in film at York University, while producing documentaries and experimental movies on the side. At university, he had to choose between film and his love of science. Though he chose film, he's always retained a hand in science documentaries.

After graduating, Phil began writing, for CBC TV's well-loved national children's show, Mr. Dressup. Phil recalls 40 years later was his "best time in the business". He wrote and directed low-budget art features and documentaries through the 1980s. His first feature, shot on super 16 and a $60,000 budget - The Music of the Spheres, was praised in the LA Times and Variety, he was also named Most Promising New Director at the Atlantic Film Festival (1982). He went on to write direct and co-produce the critically acclaimed - Starnge Horizons - his first 35mm film on a budget of $250,000. Philip was a producer on the critically acclaimed low cost art film Platinum in 1988.

In 1983 he created Producer's Network Associates with Daniel D'or, David McQuire and Mark Terry. He directed their first commercial film RepliKator, on a $1,200,000 budget, the picture was a big success with distributors and buyers, premiering in USA on the Sci-Fi channel, Hollywood immediately pegged Phil and Dan D'or as " The sci-fi guys" subsequent films by PNA fit within this rule (such as Carver's Gate, The Deadly Wake -, - The Cusp -, - Shepherd - , - Future Fear - , and many other sci-fi titles, except when they broke thew rules with titles like the mob films - Men of Means - and - The Pawn - , comedies like, - Wish You Were Dead- and -Drop Dead Roses-

Phil produced, showran and sometimes directed, along with Dan D'or the Starhunter series, followed by - Starhunter 2300 - and then in 2018 - - Starhunter REDUX -, In documentary during this time he also shot MELTDOWN on the - ICE PLANET -, - Alien Life - Protest Media and Democracy - among others.

Phil is working at this writing with Peter I Horton and James Mou on a trilogy of sci-fi productions and Developing TV series and close of financing for three of them.
