Sure, Craig Ferguson is happy for British comic James Corden, who has officially been tapped as his The Late Late Show successor when he retires at the end of the year. "He's very, very good," Ferguson said on Monday's show, before placing Corden's portrait on the mantel in his set. But later in the show, he commiserated with former Dallas Cowboy Michael Irving, who said he was sort of glad the last time the Cowboys won the Super Bowl was when he was on the team. His reasoning? You want the people to miss the days when you were a part of it.

Aaron Carter is ready for the latest season of "Dancing With the Stars," premiering Monday (September 21) on ABC. He will be competing against the likes of Macy Gray, Kelly Osbourne, Tom Delay and Mya, but thinks that his toughest competition will be the guy in the mirror.

"Honestly, the biggest competition I feel is myself. The reason why I feel like my biggest competition is probably me," he told MTV News while rehearsing with partner Karina Smirnoff. "It's all about how much we rehearse and how much we take advantage of [those rehearsals]. I'm all about how much I push myself."

But his brother, Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, pegged someone else as his younger...

Total WipeOut (Version U.S.A) (2008)
On Super Bowl Sunday, football fans will have a choice: the Boss or the Big Balls.

ABC plans to counterprogram NBC's game-day entertainment telecasts with a sports-star-studded episode of the summer obstacle-course hit "Wipeout."

The Disney-owned network will air a brief football-themed "Wipeout" special against NBC's official halftime show headlined by Bruce Springsteen. Then, during NBC's post-Bowl presentation of "The Office," ABC will air an hourlong "Wipeout" in which cheerleaders compete against male "couch potato" sports fans.

The strategy will mark the first time in five years a major broadcast network has gone after a rival's Super Bowl momentum with original entertainment programming.
