- Lucian Iancu was born on February 3, 1940 in Botosani, Romania. He was an actor, known for L'homme sans âge (2007), B.D. la munte si la mare (1971) and Pintea (1976). He died on November 20, 2024 in Romania.
- On February 2, 2020, at the Constanta State Theatre, a surprise event was organized for Lucian Iancu, on the occasion of his 80th birthday, right before the performance of the "Gaitele" show.
- Before the Revolution of 1989, he tried to leave Romania illegally on board the mineral ship led by Florentin Scaletchi, which was hijacked to Istanbul, and was sentenced, in 1985, to a 20-year prison sentence. On the day immediately following his escape attempt, an order was received at the theater to burn all the posters, show programs and photos in which his name or face appeared, more than 20,000 copies.
- For five years, the actor was a political prisoner at Poarta Alba Penitentiary and Aiud Penitentiary.
